Pregnancy Update: 33 Weeks — One Week Closer to the Finish Line

Yay—one week closer to the finish line! After my baby shower, things finally slowed down a bit. I’m truly enjoying my pregnancy, and now I’m planning a trip to Miami for the Super Bowl. Yes, you read that right—I will be traveling to Miami for the Super Bowl.

Super Bowl Travel Plans

My doctors are completely fine with me taking a short flight from Atlanta to Miami. I’ll also be having a prenatal checkup and another ultrasound before I leave to check on my cervix and the baby. This is just a precaution to make sure nothing has changed.

I’ll be leaving Wednesday evening and returning Monday morning.

Am I nervous to travel? Not at all.
If you had asked me between 17–24 weeks, my answer would’ve been very different. Since my 19-week scare, I haven’t had any false labor or concerning contractions. My TAC is holding my cervix closed, and it’s not budging one bit.

I know my body now. I know that stress brings on more Braxton Hicks. If I feel more than usual, I drink more fluids, rest, and get off my feet. Simple as that.

Any New Symptoms? (Recapping 33 Weeks)

Our baby’s movements have changed again. Now that baby is getting bigger, I can actually see large movements from the outside of my belly. Imagine standing in front of the mirror and seeing big little nubs—arms and legs—gliding across your stomach. It’s honestly the most amazing thing to see and feel.

I am truly blessed to be able to experience pregnancy and to have made it this far.

This moment still feels surreal to me. I don’t think it’ll fully sink in until my baby is in my arms—and even then, it may still feel unreal. Honestly, I might not believe it until our baby is one year old. That probably sounds crazy, but after everything my husband and I have been through over the last few years, this still feels like a dream.

Soaking It All In

My pregnancy journey is coming to an end soon, and I already know I’m going to miss being pregnant. I love watching my belly grow and hearing about the milestones our baby reaches each week. It’s truly incredible.

Once I get back from Miami, the countdown officially begins. I cannot believe I am less than 22 days away from my C-section.

Do you hear that?!

OUR BABY WILL BE HERE SOON!!!

Be sure to check out our latest videos on GoodwinSZN. We shared our 33-week OB appointment and also put together our baby’s crib. Our nursery and nesting phase is in full effect.

THANK YOU, JESUS.

With love,
Mrs. Goodwin 🐝🤍
