Pregnancy Update: 34 Weeks & Super Bowl Weekend

For starters—happy 34 weeks to me! This was my next major milestone, and I honestly can’t even believe we’ll be meeting our baby so soon. Even crazier? We made it to the Super Bowl, and I got to travel to Miami this weekend to experience it.

Super Bowl in Miami

So… what was the Super Bowl like?

Honestly, it felt like a regular football game. I’d probably rather watch it at home with family. I don’t know if I feel this way because hubby wasn’t playing in the game, but that’s just my honest take. That said, the halftime show was super grand—definitely unlike any regular-season game.

We saw so many celebrities, and the game felt extra long because of all the commercial breaks. The best part of the Super Bowl, though, is everything that happens during Super Bowl week and weekend. The events, the energy, the city—it’s unmatched.

I loved that the Super Bowl was in Miami. The weather was beautiful, and Miami is always a vibe.

We had such a great time. Even though I couldn’t do too much because I’m pregnant, I’m so glad I was able to experience the Super Bowl at least once. Plus, our baby got to tag along and enjoy Miami too 🥹. We ate at so many different restaurants and tried new foods, and it was so good seeing the other wives, fiancées, and girlfriends of the players—I hadn’t seen most of them since November.

Family Time in Miami

My mother-in-law also joined us in Miami for Super Bowl weekend. Earlier this year, hubby and I traveled to South Carolina to visit Myrtle Beach Safari Encounters, where we swam with tigers and interacted with animals like cheetahs, chimpanzees, gibbons, and even an eagle.

They spend winters in Miami because of the warm weather, so we got to visit again—this time with my mother-in-law. She was able to experience swimming with tigers and playing with the apes as well. Stay tuned for that video on GoodwinSZN—it’ll be posted soon.

New Symptoms

I’ve started to feel a bit more uncomfortable some days. It usually begins in the evening and goes away by morning. I’ve also noticed an increase in Braxton Hicks, and I finally experienced some swelling.

While in Miami, I wore bangles to dinner. Later that night, when I tried to take them off… they would not come off easily. My hands had swollen, and it actually hurt taking them off. I was shooketh 😅.

Gratitude & Countdown

Thank you all so much for your continued support and prayers—we truly appreciate it. I am especially thankful for my husband. He has been helping me so much: lotioning my legs, washing my legs and feet, putting on my shoes, and rubbing my feet. These simple tasks are really hard with this big belly.

I can do them myself (and sometimes I do), but I get out of breath so quickly.

On the bright side, I only have two more Makena injections left. My final shot will be at 36 weeks—praise God.

With love,
Mrs. Goodwin 🐝🤍
