Full Circle Moment: From Junior World Champion to Team USA Event Manager

I’m honored to share that I have been selected to serve as an Event Manager for the U20 World Team for Team USA. I am truly excited for this opportunity to give back to the sport that has given me so much.

My very first U20 Junior World Championship experience was back in 2012 in Barcelona, Spain. That year was unforgettable for me. I became the Junior World Champion in the 100m hurdles and also won gold in the 4x100m relay.

What made that year even more special was that my husband made the 2012 Olympic Team that same season. It was such a powerful moment for both of us. Back then we were young, in love, and chasing our dreams. People used to call us the dynamic duo—a true power couple. Some people probably hated to see us coming!

It definitely wasn’t always easy being young and navigating love, life, and elite athletics at the same time—but we made it.

Now here we are 10 years married, working on year 11, and 14 years together overall. God has truly carried us through every season.

That’s why this opportunity means so much to me. The U20 level is where it all begins. This is where young athletes start transitioning into professionals and stepping onto the world stage.

I’m excited to support, mentor, and help create a great experience for the next generation of athletes. I’m also praying this opens the door for long-term opportunities to continue working with USATF.

I’ll keep you all posted on upcoming events and other exciting things I have going on.

Thank you so much for subscribing, supporting, and following my journey. ❤️

With love,

Morgan Goodwin
