Five Years, Many Tears, One Finished Promise

This Book Holds My Healing

There are moments in life that feel almost unreal—like you’re standing in the middle of a dream you never even knew to pray for. Today is one of those moments for me.

After five years of writing, revising, praying, crying, pausing, starting again, and doing deep self-reflection, my book is finally complete—and it is now available to purchase. Even typing those words feels surreal.

This book took time. It took tears. It took courage. And it took obedience.

Over the last five years, I poured my heart into these pages, revisiting some of the most tender and painful moments of my life. My book tells my story—my experience and my journey through motherhood, including the loss of my two babies in the second trimester. It shares the grief, the questions, the moments of silence, and the moments where faith was the only thing holding me together.

It also tells the story of how my husband and I made it through—how our faith in God, combined with an unwavering support system, carried us when we felt like we had nothing left to give. This book is not just about loss; it is about endurance, love, marriage, and hope when the outcome isn’t what you prayed for.

There were many times I didn’t think I would finish this book. Honestly, I never saw myself as a published author. I never imagined this would be part of my story. It was never “in the cards” I thought I was dealt. But God had other plans.

“The Lord will fulfill His purpose for me;
Your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever.”
— Psalm 138:8

Tears of JOY

I am deeply thankful for every person in our circle who encouraged me to keep going—especially on the days when it felt easier to stop. Thank you to those who checked in on me consistently, who reminded me that my story mattered, and who believed in this book even when I struggled to believe in myself.

This book exists because of love. Because of community. Because of faith. And because God can bring purpose out of pain.

I am beyond grateful—grateful to God, grateful to my husband, grateful to our village, and grateful to every reader who will find comfort, understanding, or hope within these pages.

I am officially a published author, and that still feels hard to say out loud.

You can now purchase my book in softcover and hardcover editions.
All purchasing information can be found here on my blog under the “My Book” section.

Thank you for walking this journey with me. This is only the beginning. Stay tuned for more information on my first book signing.

With love,
Morgan Goodwin
