No More Bedrest!!!

Experiencing Loss / Monday, October 28th, 2019

I am super excited to announce that I am not on bedrest anymore. Bedrest was so tough for me. I am normally a busy body and love to get things done around the house and outside of the house. Even though I am off of bedrest I am going to keep my activities as light as possible. To read about why I was placed on bedrest CLICK HERE.

If you follow me on instagram, you’ll notice that I’ve picked back up an old hobby, crocheting. My Nana taught me and my sisters how to crochet when we were younger. Now that I am settling into my pregnancy and resting much more, I’ve decided to start crocheting again. I recently finished a super soft baby blanket and now I am starting a new baby blanket.

I don’t ever want to have to be on bedrest again so I’m doing my best to stay homebound. No more grocery shopping, no more cooking, and no more deep cleaning around the house. I order our groceries, I’ve hired a person to help deep clean, and we order meal prep meals for the week. I will no longer be going back and forth to the airport to pick up family/guests. Uber and Lyft can handle those problems. Thank God for new technology and innovations.

Braxton Hicks & Constipation

I believe my Braxton Hicks are contributed to my constipation. At night time when I experience multiple Braxton Hicks, its always followed by an upset stomach. My upset stomach then sends me straight to the bathroom for a bowl movement. After I take a bowel movement the Braxton Hicks go away. Now that I know this, I keep prune juice and cranberry juice waiting on me in the fridge. So that if I don’t have a bowel movement in two whole days, I’ll start my natural home remedy. This might be TMI but its an update so I’m sharing it all and it could possibly help someone else dealing with this issue.

Since being off bedrest, my body has returned to its normal state. I still believe I am measuring small this time. But then I have to remind myself that I am carrying a singleton and not twins this go round. All in all, I am feeling much better about this pregnancy now that I’ve finally made it to my halfway point. I will be 21 weeks Tuesday. In addition, I am feeling our baby more and more each day as he/she grows. Also, hubby has finally got to feel the baby kicks outside of my womb too. PRASIE BE!

P.S. I’ve started watching a new show on Hulu called The Handmaid’s Tale. It is so good; if you’re on bedrest or at home bored, I highly recommend watching it.

With Love,

Mrs. Goodwin

  5. Thank you for sharing your entire journey. I too have suffered from an incompetent cervix and after losing my first two boys during singleton pregnancies I was left devastated. I did my research and got my TAC done in April of this year. Now I’m pregnant again with Twins a boy and a girl. I want to thank you for sharing your story, as it’s not talked about much but is extremely common. During one of the hardest time in my life this past year reading your blogs and watching your YouTube videos gave me an extra push to keep going and to be thankful for how far I’ve come. May God bless continue to bless and keep you!

    1. Sorry for you losses and congratulations on your twin pregnancy. How many weeks are you? Praying for healthy smooth full term delivery TAC sister.

  6. i’ve been praying everything goes smoothly for you and marquise!! I’ve been here for all of your pregnancies, and you still know how to push and fight!! you’re so strong!! can’t wait to continue seeing amazing updates!❀️❀️

  7. Won’t God Do It!! I will continue to pray for a smooth pregnancy, and for you and your husband. I learned how to crochet in school, I haven’t did it in a long time, I may try again.

  8. So glad to read your update. I was put on bedrest at 24 weeks due to preeclampsia. At first it seemed like fun since I had been working 50+ hours per week. After just a few days it became clear that medical bedrest SUCKS! Because I wasn’t the best patient, I was hospitalized at the beginning of my 28th week and delivered at the end of that week (my daughter is now a healthy 22-year old). You more than most understand how difficult it can be to be pregnant. Just take these next weeks as a time of rest and pampering. Soon you will be holding you healthy baby and longing for these “boring” days of bedrest. πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™

  9. Morgan thank you so much for sharing with us. I went through your other 2 pregnancy with y’all including the heartbreak 😭!! But I know we’re going to have a praise dance at the end of this oneπŸ™πŸ½πŸ™ŒπŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½. Keep taking care of yourself and lil baby Morgan πŸ’•. Yes I’m team pink🀣🀣

  10. Ah! This made me so happy to hear all is well. Sending you guys good thoughts and prayers until your baby is born. We also just started Handmaids Tale, and love it! Best wishes to you and Marquise!

  11. Oh sis that’s great news! I know it’s hard to slow down but let everyone take care of you, you deserve some extra care. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers everyday. I look forward to seeing lil baby Goodwin this spring. ❀

  12. I’m praying so hard for you mommy. I know bedrest sucks but if it comes to it for your rainbow I promise it will be worth it. Please you’ll miss the free time because little one will steal all of your sleep. Once you finish your current show try Blacklist on Netflix it’s so bomb.

  13. Morgan,

I have grown up a 49ers fan and found your blog recently through and because of your husband. Long story short my wife and I are eager to grow our family and her first pregnancy wasn’t the most pleasant and she too was put on bed rest toward to end. When I found your blog I started reading just hoping that I would be reading good news about one of “my guys” and his family. To be honest, I have enjoyed reading just to hear your perspective and what you go through. My wife and I may be traveling this path soon and I feel like I am better prepared and have more insight the more I read.

Thank you for sharing your story. Praying for you and Marquise.

  14. Praise Jesus!!! I am so so happy to hear your good news! I’m praying for you every step of the way! Sending positive vibes to you and Baby G.πŸ™πŸ™
