First off, I would like to thank each and everyone of you who consistently support me and my husband. You know times have been rough for my husband and I throughout our entire journey through parenthood. I recently had surgery in Chicago to have my transabdonimal cerclage (TAC) replaced by Dr. Haney in March. You can watch my TAC surgery HERE. My surgery was a success and I am thankful for all of the prayers I’ve received. Now I can put my TAC to use!
So the moment you’ve all been waiting for…
I AM PREGNANT again!!! You can view our pregnancy announcement HERE. A month after my surgery I got off birth control to prepare myself for fertility treatments. If you don’t know, I struggled with infertility in the past and needed an extra boost to help me get pregnant. Well, the Lord gave us a surprising miracle. I’ve never gotten pregnant on the first try, so this was very shocking. I had one period after getting off of birth control and then my period didn’t show on time. When my cycle didn’t come on time, I thought it was because the birth control threw my cycle off track.
I took a pregnancy test on two different tests: DG Health One Step and Clear Blue Pregnancy test. The cheap One Step test came out faint and the Clear Blue test was was negative. So I thought it was a fluke and just ignored it. Another week went by and still no period. I called my fertility clinic to let them know my cycle was delayed and they told me to wait until two weeks after a missed period.
I waited another week and took another pregnancy test again with only the cheap One Step test. IT WAS FAINT AGAIN, but darker than the first time. So, I went the store first thing in the morning and brought a First Response pink dye test and rushed home to take the test.
The First Response Test was definitely positive. I should’ve used this test from the start but I didn’t because I already had the other two tests in my cabinet from my previous pregnancies. I mean am I the only one who takes a test everyday for like two weeks after I find out I’m pregnant? I’m pretty absurd when it comes to pregnancy tests. I’ll keep taking tests like a crazy person. My test will be posted below so you can how I mistake the first test for being negative.
I am currently 14 weeks as I write this blog post. Again, I really appreciate you all for being so supportive of me during this journey. Throughout this process, I will do my best to keep you guys posted on my journey through pregnancy. So far my pregnancy has been smooth sailing as usual. I threw up for the first time after eating crab legs at Juicy Crab in Conyers, GA. I’m not sure if it was bad seafood or my pregnancy that caused me to puke but I had crab Alfredo about three weeks after this and I got really nauseous. So I don’t think our baby likes crab legs. Also, I noticed that I am growing a lot faster this time around but still not as fast as when I was pregnant with my twin boys. My stomach looks so huge, but I should mention I ate a big meal before our photoshoot. Yikes!
Stay tuned for more pregnancy updates.
