What A Great Day to Release My Blog! It’s My Mother’s Birthday!
Today is a special day! Why? Because it’s my mother’s birthday! Today, my beautiful mother turns 58 years-young. I want to wish her a Happy Birthday.
I love you mommy!
This is a great day to kick off the year introducing my blog. The goal of my blog is to empower women like me, who have an incompetent cervix. I would also like to empower others who may not have lost a child but have gone through some tragedy. Everything will be okay.
I know it’s annoying to hear those words when the tragedy isn’t happening to that person saying it. But from one heart ache to another, “everything will be okay.” I was always taught that everything happens for a reason. Although we may not know that reason for years, know that God doesn’t make mistakes. This was one thing I learned from my mother. We grew up in the church, so she taught us a lot about the Lord, our savior and Jesus Christ.
I have a courageous mother. She would do anything for her girls to make sure we didn’t have to want for anything. She would bend over backwards for us. We never struggled, and if we did struggle, she didn’t let us see it.
My mother is very funny, unintentionally though. Every time I speak to her, I know I will laugh here and there. She mispronounces words, mispronounces people’s names, and shows her ass if you make her mad. Excuse my language. I love her flaws, personality, character, and wit. These are all the things I love about my mother.
I don’t want to brag, but she is the greatest. I’m sure you probably feel the same way about your mother. This is why I chose today to release my blog. Her birthday is a special day for me because without her, I wouldn’t be here. I am so thankful for my mother and I appreciate her well-being. Not everyone has the opportunity to see or speak to their mom every day.
“You formed my innermost being, shaping my delicate inside and my intricate outside, and you wove them all together in my mother’s womb” (Psalms 139:13).
Today, I have a lot of things planned for her birthday. I can’t really tell you the details yet, because she might be reading this. Just know that, she will enjoy her birthday. I haven’t been able to celebrate with my mom on her birthday for 6 years. I was able to send presents, but that isn’t the same. I’m so excited to be going home to spend time with my family.
Living in Texas away from my mom and family is difficult, but I try to make the best out of it. This will be another discussion topic, so stay tuned. If it is your birthday today, Happy Birthday to you. Again, Happy Birthday mommy, I love you!
